Our friends at the Mount Sinai Sailing Association (MSSA) in Mount Sinai, NY are pleased to present the 41st Annual American Cancer Society Regatta on Saturday, September 17.

The second longest running charity regatta in the United States, this event is a Yacht Racing Association of Long Island Sound qualifying race. Racing for boats in Cruising, Non-Spinnaker, and Spinnaker divisions takes place on Long Island Sound in the waters north of Mount Sinai Harbor. The regatta is supported by the Mount Sinai Yacht Club, where the After-Race party will be held, and Port Jefferson Yacht Club, who has offered the use of their committee boat and will supply a limited number of guest moorings for out-of-town participants.

During the time that MSSA has sponsored the American Cancer Society Regatta, the event has raised more than half a million dollars for the can Cancer Society. Those wishing to support the American Cancer Society’s mission but who cannot sail in the regatta are encouraged to sign up for MSSA’s Virtual Regatta at acsengage.org/MSSA.

The MSSA is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to affordable family cruising, racing, and social interaction among sailing enthusiasts in the area of Mount Sinai Harbor. The Notice of Race is available at MSSA.org. For additional information, contact Doug at 631-751-6528. ■
