The New England Multihull Association (NEMA) and the Beverly Yacht Club (BYC) in Marion, MA will host the 2023 Corsair Nationals and Rendezvous July 28-30, 2023.

Racing is open to all Corsair and Farrier Trimarans and any design with five or more entrants will compete as a one-design class. This event is held in conjunction with the Buzzards Bay Multihull Regatta, which is open to all NEMA-rated multihulls and will be scored separately. Racing will be held on Buzzards Bay with a distance race and buoy races planned for the three-day event.

Non-racers are invited to sign up for the Multihull Rendezvous to cruise around Buzzards Bay and the nearby Elizabeth Islands during the day and swap stories with the racers each evening.

Corsair Marine has been building fast trimarans, 20’ to 37’ long, since 1986, with more than 2,000 sailing worldwide. NEMA, founded in 1968, is a non-profit association of multihull sailors who value the art, science, and enjoyment of sailing vessels, primarily catamarans and trimarans. BYC was founded in 1872 and is one of the oldest yacht clubs in the country. It has a long tradition of supporting sailboat racing and has an active group of volunteer regatta organizers.

Mary Ellen DeFrias, who will serve as Principal Race Officer, has years of experience running sailing regattas in the waters of Buzzards Bay. Event Chairman, Bob Gleason, is an experienced multihull racer, member of BYC, and President of The Multihull Source in Wareham, MA.

Regatta and rendezvous registration is available through nemasail.org and on Yachtscoring.com. For further event information, contact Bob Gleason at sailfast@themultihullsource.com.

If you are interested in sponsoring the event, please contact Sponsorship Coordinator Barbara Corbeil at bcorbeil@comcast.net. ■
