Since our very first issue in 2002, WindCheck has featured – at least once monthly – articles about environmentally relevant and important topics such as beach cleanups, clean regatta practices, water quality issues, protecting marine wildlife, and many other rallying calls for an ecological cause.

No matter how depressing or annoying my news feed was on Facebook, or elsewhere, I could always count on a positive post about sailing.

I’ve had the pleasure of sailing with some great people, many of whom are women.

The Finn is just an awesome little boat that gets a lot of ‘bad’ press.

I’ve always identified with a quote from Benjamin Franklin: “Tell me and I forget, teach me and I may remember, involve me and I learn.”

but also because it seems every sailor has their share of those moments that they hold dear.

The list of boats, names and sponsors is impressive, but the fact that many of these events overlap one another, primarily in New York City, is really something special and absolutely not to be missed.
