STONINGTON, CT: New England Science & Sailing Foundation (NESS) is pleased to welcome Loraine Snead as its Managing Director of Education. Ms. Snead will begin her role at NESS on June 13, 2022. 

Ms. Snead brings her experience in public, charter, and independent schools as Head of High School, Academic Dean, Department Chair, Grade Dean and Director of a middle school summer outdoor experiential education program to NESS.  

Ms. Snead is currently the Director of Equity and Inclusion at Tabor Academy in Marion, MA. She has a B.S. in Analytical Chemistry from Georgia State University, M.S. in Education from University of Massachusetts (Amherst), and an M.S. in Chemistry from Drexel University. 

As NESS’s Managing Director of Education, Ms. Snead will ensure high quality execution of all education programs.

In addition, Ms. Snead will focus on building new strategic partnerships and programs, marketing and selling programs regionally and nationally, and oversee outcomes measurement.
