Letter: Let’s Bake

Benjamin Cesare
August_2015 • Letters

What a well-written exposé [“Spring Off Soundings Marked by Light Air“] of the excitement of sailing! I can hardly imagine the scintillating conversation during the calm moments. Golf may burn calories, but sailing bakes friendships.

Sail Boats

Beneteau 35.1

The Beneteau 35.1 has been a strong seller for the Beneteau group sence she was introduced. Her easy to handle sail plan and twin rudder configuration give her the sailing characteristics that has made her one of the best models they have produced. This vessel was sold new, prepped by Prestige Yacht Sales and has been cared for in our home boat yard every year. She has been covered, serviced and pampered every year. She has never been sailed more then 10 miles beyond Norwalk.

Help Wanted

WATERFRONT DIRECTOR on San Francisco Bay

Richmond Yacht Club (richmondyc.org) where we sail 365 days per year on San Francisco Bay, will fill this new position by September 1st or sooner. Please see www.sailingjobs.sail1design.com for full job description, and put Richmond Yacht Club in search.

Power Boats

Beneteau Antares 23 OB

The term pocket yacht is used very often these days but rarely does it apply so well to a boat as it does to the the Beneteau Antares 23. Designed for couples and families that do not have the time to spend weeks aboard, the Antares 23 is the perfect combination of a quick day boat or just big enough for long weekends. This 23 is extra special with dockside a/c, as well as full aft canvas enclosure for those times when the whole gang wants to stay aboard.

Sail Boats

Hunter 386

The Hunter 386 has been a great vessel in the Hunter line up. She is roomie, comfortable and has a great cockpit for both sailing and entertainment. At 38 feet she is an excellent compromise between a boat that is easy to take out for a quick sail of that summer cruse to Maine. This particular vessel has been loved and enjoyed by her current owners but they have decided to move on. She is in the water and ready for your inspection.

Sail Boats

Landing School 26 Weekender

The Landing School 26 Weekender was designed to be a high-qualitydaysailer/weekender. She is intended for the experienced yachtsman who appreciates first-class construction, but whose schedule and/or preference demands the ease and practicality of a daysailer. The LS 26 design (by Maine-based Naval Architect Ken Rusinek) combines classic, traditional good looks above the waterline with a contemporary, high-performance underbody.
