Our friends at Rhode Island Billiard, Bar & Bistro in North Providence, RI are hosting a free sailors’ billiards party on Friday, February 28 from 7:00 to 9:00 pm. If you love sailing and reside anywhere between Boston and Block Island, you are cordially invited.

“This is a FREE event,” said Anthony “Tony” Costanzo, Jr., a fourth generation proprietor whose family has operated a pool hall in greater Providence since 1909. “Rhode Island Billiard, Bar & Bistro is donating the space and all the necessary pool tables to make this a fun event for all that attend. Come join the second winter-only event of this small group of sailors who crave the social aspect of race weeks and yacht club-style fun.”

“This is open to all ages men, and women 21 and up are welcome,” Costanzo continued. “The room is large, but we are limited to the first 200 signups. We have two full bars and over 108 beer selections. Bring a business card for the door prizes. If you are in the sailing industry and want to donate a door prize, that is even better. You don’t have to like to play pool to stop by – just love sailing.”

If you’d like to attend, RSVP to Anthony Costanzo at 401-954-1172. Established in 1982, Rhode Island Billiard, Bar & Bistro is located at 2026 Smith Street in North Providence. The venue is also available – for free – to charity organizations looking to host public events.
