The race is held on the waters of Western Long Island Sound from the vicinity of City Island to Stratford Shoal and points in between. Hosted by New Bedford Yacht Club in South Dartmouth, Massachusetts and first sailed in 1932, this race is open to all yachts with a minimum LOA of 21 feet, including Multihulls with a NEMA rating, and PHRF Monohulls in Spinnaker, Non-Spinnaker, Double-handed Spinnaker and Double-handed Non-Spinnaker classes. The race starts and finishes outside Padanaram Harbor and includes marks off Cuttyhunk Island, Nomans Land and Block Island.
