Our friends at Thames Yacht Club in New London, Connecticut will hold their 63rd annual Francis T. Bradbury Memorial Long Distance Race on Friday, July 4.

“This is a non-spinnaker 12-16 mile (depending on wind conditions) race, run in Pursuit format,” says TYC Rear Commodore Stu Caplan. “The slowest boats start first and the starts are spaced out by PHRF rating with each boat having a defined time after which they can start. There is none of the usual commotion at the start, making it easy for novice racers. If you plan to race, please register soon by filling out the registration form or by contacting the Rear Commodore (racing@thamesyc.org).”
