© Rick Bannerot, Ontheflyphoto.net First sailed in 1954 and open to ORCi and PHRF boats in Spinnaker, Non-Spinnaker, Double-Handed, Plus One and One-Design classes, the Edlu is a classic tune-up for the Block Island Race and Block Island Race Week. The spinnaker course is 32 nm from the Larchmont Breakwater to Gong 11B off Eaton’s Neck and back. The non-spinnaker course is approximately 20 nm.

73rd Annual Samuel Wetherill Trophy Race

With a course of approximately 140 nm, Essex Yacht Club’s blue water race is open to ORC, PHRF and NEMA classes with doublehanded classes if possible. A Wetherill Club Trophy will be given to the yacht club with the best combined performance. Skippers introducing a new boat to The Wetherill receive a refund of 40% of the entry fee.
