Outside Television will once again set sail to the Volvo Ocean Race, the world's toughest sailing event in which the elite of the profession battle it out on the most treacherous oceans.
The world’s longest sporting event, the race is a nine-month marathon on the seas, passing through four oceans and five continents. Since 1973 the race has served as an exceptional test of sailing prowess and human endeavor where the athletes push themselves to the limit of endurance in what is commonly referred to as the ‘Everest of Sailing’.
The network will broadcast the race as a part of its Life at the Extreme documentary series. Starting, Monday, October 20 at 10:30 p.m. EST the Life at the Extreme series will premiere with new episodes every Monday for 39 consecutive weeks. Re-airs of each week’s episode will run throughout the week. To find a station near you, visit <http://www.outsidetelevision.com>
