Launch Operators - Black Rock Yacht Club seeks individuals for fall to operate and maintain yacht club launches and other watercraft PT/FT. USCG. Launch Operator license or higher is required. Pre-employment and random drug testing is required. Other duties include building and grounds maintenance. Mechanical, carpentry, fiberglass, and painting skills are preferred. McMichael Yacht Yard in Mamaroneck, NY, is looking for a Service Coordinator with sailing experience, an outgoing phone personality and computer skills. The job involves communication with yard customers, including scheduling work, follow-up, reviewing invoices and pursuing new clients. Experience with Dockmaster software or a similar program and prior experience is a major plus.
The Service Coordinator reports to the Yard Manager, who has over 30 years of experience at McMichael and is widely respected in the industry. McMichael was founded in 1935 to service boating enthusiasts, and includes McMichael Yacht Brokers (dealers for J Boats, Hanse, MJM and SeaLine among others) and McMichael Rushmore Yard directly across Mamaroneck Harbor.

A full-time, year-round position responsible for the planning and implementation of the Community Sailing program. Responsibilities include teaching classes for youth and adults in the spring, summer, and fall; handling all paperwork related to the programming, communicating with parents, hosting several regattas, hiring and mentoring seasonal sailing instructors, refining and growing the program, and winter maintenance and marketing of the program.
The Community Sailing program teaches all ages beginner and intermediate classes using JY15 sailboats and Dyer Dhows. Mystic Seaport is an accredited US Sailing Center and classes are taught by experienced sailors who have been certified by the US Sailing Association.
As we continue to enhance Harbor Point's offerings and community development, we are looking for an outgoing individual to run and operate one of the fun amenities we have to offer!
Our popular water taxi provides passengers with transportation services to and from the West Branch of Stamford Harbor, Thursday thru Sunday evenings.
The Water Taxi Operator will be responsible for:
- Operation and daily maintenance of the Water Taxi
- Receiving and responding to pickup requests (by phone and VHF radio)
- Startup/shutdown of the water taxi operation each day, including daily reporting to management.
The right candidate(s) must possess these attributes:
- Current USCG Operator Uninspected Passenger Vessel (OUPV) license (“Six Pack”) required, USCG Launch Operator’s license preferred
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Capacity to keep poise in a dynamic work environment.
This position is based out of our Harbor Point office in Stamford, which includes free parking.
Looking for full-time sailing captain. Must have USCG license and sailing endorsement. Seasonal work from June through September. Competitive wages and gratuities. Running up to 6 passenger charters on a 40' Friendship Sloop and a 26' Latitude Tadorne.
